Ongoing battles for control of governments across the globe are deciding living conditions for billions of people on earth. Practically every citizen, in every country, yearns for freedom, human rights and self government. Yet these goals are unobtainable for many. Greedy, self-serving, power hungry oligarchs find a way to steal a country’s future and wealth for their own benefit. A corrupt leader, in partnership with billionaires who share the same goals, can grab firm control over a nation and it’s initially unsuspecting citizens. Sometimes only later comes the horrendous realization that a dictatorship has been cleverly installed. Russia is a perfect example. Is it a Democracy? Absolutely not. We can see clearly Putin’s hide and seek adaptation of a hopeful Democracy to a Hitler type dictatorship over a 22 year period. Just next door is Ukraine, who’s fledgling Democracy took hold in the hearts and souls of it’s people. It brought liberty, justice and the pursuit of happiness for Ukrainians. So much so that these attributes became a threat to Putin, the cruel oppressive despot next door. It was a huge mistake to ever treat Putin as a legitimate democratic type leader or trustworthy business partner. Corporations in particular have been eager to take Russia’s fossil fuel money to fatten their extensive profits. Money is indeed the root of all evil and dancing with the devil for profit has horrible ramifications. That ill advised partnership and support of Putin has emboldened him and enabled his decision to invade Ukraine. Too late we see the monster that businesses have helped create. Meanwhile, country by country, this same monster is degrading and overturning People’s Democracies using bribery, corruption and propaganda. The same industry groups and corporations that partner with Russia are supporting a change of government in America. A corporate government headed by a dictator type such as the former president. He’s already dictator of the GOP. If we allow this change it will mean the end of the American People’s Democracy. Oh. they’ll call it a democracy, but just like in Russia, it won’t be.
